IntroductionFresh Kale blended with a bit water. A splash of pineapple juice gives it an pleasant flavor. A couple scoops of protein powder make it a satisfying snack or meal. Kale, 2 cup, blended with just enough water (1/2 cup or so), to make a thick juice (or use any greens)
*Pineapple Juice, Frozen Concentrate, Unsweetened, undiluted, 2 Tablespoons
4 Tb Protein Powder,( I use half hemp seed powder)
Chia Seeds, 1 Tb
Mix all and enjoy.
When the kale plants in the garden are producing way too much kale to eat as a green, I harvest all the extra, wash the leaves and blend them with a couple cups of water, till the mixture is very thick. (repeating till all the kale is blended)
Then I freeze this kale juice in quart glass Jars (leave an inch of air at the top). Thaw a jar in the frig and use about 1/2 cup of Kale juice with the rest of the ingredients.
I find this very satisfying as a snack or for the road, when I have many hours of driving and chores ahead of me.
