Ingredients

    1.75 LB Flank Steak
1 package McCormick's Grill Mates, Mesquite Marinade (dry)
.25 cup Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
    .25 cup water

Directions

Trim flank steak of visible fat and silver skin.

In a gallon resealable bag, combine dry mix, oil and water. Close and shake well to mix. Marinade will be somewhat thick. Place trimmed steak in bag and reseal.

If you are marinating for under 30 minutes, keep on kitchen counter. If you are marinating for over 30 minutes, place meat in fridge until 30 minutes before you're ready to cook. Cooking meat at room temperature ensures even cooking and more tender results.

Prepare a medium-hot charcoal grill, rack approximately 5-6 inches from coals.

Remove meat from bag, shaking off excess marinade. Grill steak for 5-7 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 120F. Pull steak, cover and let rest for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, slice thinly and serve.
