Ingredients

11/2 cups Self Raising Flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
Tips
You can make the pikelets to the size of your liking. You do not need to use any specific measure but they should be about the size of a closed fist.
Directions
Sift flour and salt: add sugar. Make a well in centre of flour mixture.
Beat egg and add to milk, Pour into the well and gradually beat in the flour.
Get frypan hot and then reduce heat slightly and put in tablespoons of mixture.
When bubbles appear on the surface, turn with spatula and cook through.
Cover with clean cloth to keep them soft. Butter and serve.
