Ingredients

Self Raising Flour - 225g/8oz
Butter or margarine 50g/2 oz
enough milk to make a soft dough.
(My husband is diabetic so there is no sugar)
Tips
A scone dough should not be wet but should be soft. For best results and to keep the scone light and do not over work.
Directions
Heat oven to 220C, 425F, Gas Mark 7
Rub butter or margarine into flour,
Stir in the milk and knead lightly on a floured surface.
Roll out to 1cm/1/2 inch thickness and cut into 2 1/2 inch rounds
Brush tops with a little milk
Bake for about 10 minutes
