Introduction

bulghur cracked wheat pilaf bulghur cracked wheat pilaf
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    onion diced coarsely
    cup of cracked wheat
    cup of chick peas canned
    cup of canned tomatoes diced with juices
    1 cup water or chicken broth optional
    salt and pepper
    Hot pepper sauce
    butter spread and olive oil

Directions

olive oil in 2 quart saucepan and saute onions . Add wheat and cook five minutes longer stirring .
Add all remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes on low. All liquid should be absorbed.
Let it rest for 10 minutes then serve hot.
