Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1-lb lean ground beef or turkey, browned and drained
    1 medium cabbage, chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cans (15 oz) chopped tomatoes, juice and all
    2 cans drained red kidney beans (I have also used 1 can of kidneys and 1 can of black beans)
    2 cups Swanson's Lower Sodium Beef Broth
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp oregano
    salt and pepper to taste
    water as needed

Directions

Place all ingredients either in a crock pot for 6-8 hours or in a soup kettle for 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours covered and slowly simmer. Remove bay leaf before serving.
