Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1/4 c. chopped celery
    1.2 c. chopped onions
1 c. apple, peeled, cored and chopped
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
2 c. Pepperidge Farm Country Style cubed stuffing
    1/4 t. thyme
1/2 t. black pepper, more or less to taste
    salt to taste
    1 - 1 1/2 cup hot water
    2 T. butter

Tips

For a lower fat version, eliminate the butter!

Directions

Finely hop celery, onions, and apples and add to a medium sized bowl. Add almonds, stuffing, thyme, salt and pepper to taste. Top with butter, cut into 4 or 5 smaller chunks. Pour hot water over your stuffing, beginning with 3/4 c. Add water slowly, stirring until croutons are moistened. If you are cooking this with your poultry, less water is better because juices from your bird will add to the moistness; if you are cooking this in a dish on it's own, use more water.
