Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    8oz 10% fat ground beef
1can red kidney beans(drained and rinsed)
1can diced tomatos(I like fire roasted or w/chilis)
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
    3med celery stakes, diced
    8c water
    2t chili powder
    1t cumin
    1t salt
    1/2t black pepper
*season as you wish, I like my chili with a bit of a kick, but not too much. I also like to switch the chili powder and cumin around every now and then.

Tips

*The flavor will come out even more if you let it cool and then reheat before you eat, or cook it in the crock post....cook the beef and celery, add everything to the crock pot and cook on low for 8hrs!

*use a potato masher when cooking the meat, it makes for very small pieces, which mean you can use less without going without!

Directions

Brown the beef with all the seasoning, add the celery and cook for a few minutes. Add the diced tomatos(do not drain), tomato sauce and water, bring to a boil. Turn the heat down to low and add the corn and beans. Cook on low for 2hrs
