Ingredients

    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
    Green Peppers (bell peppers), 3/4 cup, chopped
    Spice World Chopped Garlic, 3 tsp (1Tbsp)
    Goya Red Kidney Beans, 439 grams (15.5 oz can)
    *Canola Oil (Wesson), 2 tbsp
    Francesco Rinaldi Marinara Traditional Pasta Sauce, 1/4 cup
    Water, tap, 3/4 cup
    *Diamond Crystal Salt Sense Real Iodized Salt, 1/2 tsp
    Oregano, ground, 1/4 tsp
    *Bouillon - Chicken - Maggi, 3/4 cube

Tips

You can add meat if you so choose to do. I usually cook meat separately because I have a vegetarian roommate and I want her to also enjoy my food.


Directions

Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
Add onions, peppersand garlic; cook 10 mins.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 mins.
Serve over hot brown/white rice. Can also be served with potatoes

    Incredible!
    A great recipe very much like the Goya recipe on their red kidney beans can. The only missing ingredient is Goya's sazon con culantro y achiote. That sazon adds a bit of heat and depth to the flavors in this recipe. I serve it with Cauliflower rice. Love this recipe! - 9/15/18
