This is just the base for granola bars: add dried fruit and nuts or anything else to specialize. I added a few chopped almonds and a few chopped dried apricots. Very easy to make! Ingredients

-2 cups of oatmeal
-1/4 cup wheat bran
-1 medium banana
-3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp honey( or brown sugar)
- 1 tsp cinammon
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-slivered and chopped almonds( opt)
-few dried turkish apricots(opt)
Tips
* can add apricots, raisins, cranberries, nuts/seeds, quinoa, any kind of veggie or fruit puree
Directions
1. blend everything but oats, bran, and optional additions in a food processor
2. mix everything together and smooth out in a square dish
3. wet a knife and cut into sixteenths
4. wrap and put in the refrigerator for at least 30 mins to cool
5. put the rest of the granola bars that you do not eat that day in a ziploc bag and freeze to preserve
