Ingredients

    2 1/2 cups gluten-free oats
    1/2 cup flax meal
    1/2 cup slivered or chopped almonds
    1/3 cup apple juice concentrate
    1/4 cup honey
    dash cinnamon

Tips

If being gluten-free isn't an issue, you can replace the flax meal with wheat germ and get regular oats.


Directions

Mix oats, flax meal, cinnamon and almonds in a large bowl. In a small bowl mix together apple juice concentrate and honey. Pour liquid onto oats mixture and mix until oats are coated. Place mixture onto large cookie sheet (with side walls/edges), spreading evenly.
Bake for 45 minutes at 300 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes.

Serving Size:  Makes 4 1/2 cups granola or 18 1/4 cup servings.
