Introduction

A hearty beef chili - has enough veg and meat to satisy a hungry man. Isn't a low-cal item but very high in fiber and protein if you're on that style diet. Can use ground turkey instead to make it healthier. A hearty beef chili - has enough veg and meat to satisy a hungry man. Ingredients

    2 Cans Kidney Beans
    1 Can Pinto Beans
    1 Can Black Beans
1 lb lean (93% style) ground beef
1 lb less lean (85%) ground beef
2 cups diced pepers (I used mix of red, green, yellow)
    2 onions, diced
    6 cloves of garlic
1/2 jar approx of sliced jalepenos
1 jar of garlic salsa (of choice)
    1 small can tomato paste
    chili powder
    cumin
    oregano
    black pepper
    cinnamon
    1/2 cup red wine (optional)

Directions

Brown ground beef while you throw the onions, peppers, garlic, salsa, and wine into a big pot. Add the tomato paste and chilis after the onions and peppers have softened a bit. Meanwhile, open the cans and rinse your beans to remove additional sodium. Add browned beef and beans into the big chili pot. Season with approx 2 tbs of cumin and 1-2 tbs of chili powder depending on how hot you like it and 1 tbs of dried oregano. Also add 1tsp gr black pepper. Optionally, a good pinch of cinnamon is also nice.
