    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    2 eggs22 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 c. whole milk
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    2 Tbsp. orange zest
    1/4 c. orange juice


I used a very defined silicone rose shaped Bundt pan and the petals were too dark. I don't think you will have a problem with a regular Bundt pan, but some are decorative and might cause the cake to get dark. Next time I will bake it at 350^ for 55 minutes.


Grease and flour 2 loaf pans or one Bundt pan. Preheat oven to 375^. Beat cream cheese and shortening until light and fluffy. Add sugar and mix until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, salt and baking powder and add alternately with the milk. Stir in the walnuts and orange zest. Pour batter in prepared pan and bake 375^ for 55 minutes.
