Ingredients

1/2 cup stick margarine, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 tsp cornstarch
3 tbsp cold water
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup Nestle Smarties or M&Ms
1/4 cup chopped dried cherries
Directions
Cream margarine and sugars until fluffy.
Whisk together vanilla, cornstarch and water until well combined, stir into creamed mixture.
Whisk together flours, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Add to creamed mixture and blend in.
Fold in chips, M&Ms and cherries.
Wrap securely in cling wrap, refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350F, lightly grease 2 baking sheets or preferably line with parchment paper.
Shape into balls and place 2" apart on sheets.
Bake 12 minutes, cool on sheets 2-3 minutes then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
