Introduction

An easy South Western chicken and shrimp dinner An easy South Western chicken and shrimp dinner
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    3 lbs chicken breast
    1 lbs large or medium shrimp
    2 bell peppers (green, red or yellow)
    1 yellow onion (small to medium size)
    1 jar corn, black bean salsa (Tastefully Simple)
    1 container of minute brown rice
    1 container of organic countrywild brown rice

Tips

salt and pepper to taste


Directions

Cut bell peppers into thin strips
Cut onion into thin rings
Cut chicken breast into small pieces
place cut up peppers and onions in bottom of slow cooker
place raw chicken on top of veggies
pour jar of salsa on top of chicken
fill salsa jar about half way with water and pour in bottom of slow cooker.
Set slow cooker to high 4 hours
About 3 hours through cook cycle add shrimp and rice
Sir ingredients and let cook for 1 more hour.

Serving Size: makes 8 1 cup servings
