Tips

I use parchment paper on my pan for ease of clean up and funneling the mix around to bowl and storage. Sometimes I add different fruits, roasted coconut, or spices like cinnamon.

Directions

Roast the oats, oat bran, flax meal and millet on a large cookie sheet at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes...or until they start to turn golden, shake the pan to redistribute and roast 5 minutes more. Put grain mixture into a mixing bowl.
While grains roast heat the apple juice to a simmer add the fruits (I chop up the cherries) cook for 15 minutes on low. Strain fruit out and reserve hot liquid. Add honey to hot liquid and set aside. Roast sesame seeds, nuts and flax seeds for a few minutes to toast. Add seeds to grains, and liquid and fruit to the mix while everything is still hot. Spread mix out in thin layer and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until it has browned further. Cool completely and then break apart into air tight container.
