Introduction
This is different than your "normal" salad, but oh so good!!! It is a recipe a friend gave me. She got it from friends that are Vietnamese. It is one of my absolute favorites, I have to refrigerate the extra before I eat mine so that I don't eat it all!!! This is different than your "normal" salad, but oh so good!!! Ingredients
-
1 lb Thin Cut Milanesa beef, cut into strips, about 1/2 inch wide.
1 Red Onion, sliced thin
1/2 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce, I used Trader Joe's
1/2 cup White Vinegar
1/3 cup Grapeseed Oil (or any other oil, but this is my favorite!)
1 head Iceberg Lettuce
Tips
I keep Milanesa in the freezer, so I can make this when I need a quick dinner. the meat is actually easier to cut frozen and I have found the meat turns out more tender too!
Directions
Heat oil in skillet and saute Milanesa until cooked through, add soy sauce, if sauce looks too oily add more soy sauce.
Add Onions and cook until the onions reach your preferred tenderness.
While cooking tear up lettuce into a large bowl.
Remove pan from heat and stir in vinegar. Pour all over the lettuce while it is still hot to cause some wilting of the lettuce. Mix and enjoy!
