Ingredients

-clove of garlic
-2 tbsp canola oil for cooking
-canola oil for frying(opt)
- floured tilapia fillets( lightly salted)
- 1 deseeded dried red pepper
- 2 bell peppers
-2 large carrots
-2 celery stalks
-1 yellow onion
Sauce:
-1-2 tbsp brown sugar
-1-2 tbsp ketchup
-2-3 tbsp mirin
-2-3 tbsp soy sauce
-5 tbsp rice wine vinegar
-.5-1 tbsp of corn starch mixed with water
Tips
The fish should be in the refrigerator with milk and garlic or sake for a few hours.
Directions
1. cook minced garlic and dried pepper in canola oil
2. add sliced onions then add thinly sliced celery and carrots
3. cook for about 5-7 min till veggies are softening, if soft fish is wanted, add floured fish now and add sauce when one side is cooked and the fish is flipped over
4. add sugar, ketchup, mirin, soy sauce, and vinegar
5. thicken sauce with corn starch and cook for about 3 more minutes to spread sauce around.
6. If crispy fish is wanted, deep fry, pat with towel, and pour veggies over it.
