Ingredients



    2 medium Apples, sliced
    1 slice whole wheat Bread
    .5 cup packed Brown Sugar
    15 mL Lemon Juice
    1.5 tbsp Butter
    0.25 tsp Nutmeg, ground

Directions

Butter the piece of bread using about half a tbsp butter. Cut bread into small cubes and turn, buttered-side down, into small casserole dish. Peel and slice apples, mix with lemon juice. Place apples over bread cubes. Melt remaining butter mix with brown sugar. Sprinkle sugar mixture over apples. Top with nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
