Ingredients

    Fresh Apples, 5 cup, peeled, cored, and sliced
    Water, 8-10 cups( enough to cover and add more it necessary)
    Sweet cherries, 3 cups, pitted
    Sugar if needed... 1 tsp at a time

Tips

***The amount of cooking time will vary based on the firmness of apples and the thickness of the slices used.
***The amount of apples will also change the amount of sauce made.


Directions

1. Peel, core and slice apples.(the thickness of the apples will determine cooking time). and Pit Cherries...
2. Add Apples to large pot cover with water. Cook till apples start to get soft add cherries. Add water as cooking if needed to keep apples covered. Cook till easy to smash with spoon.
3. Remove from heat. Spoon into a fine mesh strainer. Smash till apple sauce it consistency you are looking for.
4. if not sweet enough add sugar 1 tsp at a time to liking. will change calorie by adding sugar.

Serving Size: makes 10-12 3-5 oz cups
