    3/4 cup sun dried tomatoes (not packed in oil)
    1/2 cup pine nuts (toasted)
    1/2 cup basil
    3 TBSP parmesan or romano cheese (shredded)
    3/4 cup olive oil
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 cup tap water


If I can't find good quality fresh basil or if I need to save time, I use the Lifehouse Freeze Dried Basil (also in the produce section). The quality and flavor are excellent.

The sun-dried tomatoes without oil will be in the produce section also.


Place the sun-dried tomatoes in a bowl and pour 2 cups of boiling water into bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft. Then drain and squeeze out excess water.

Into a blender, put all of the ingredients and puree until it's a uniform consistency. It shouldn't be totally smooth or liquefied.

Serving Size: makes approx 1.5 cups
