Ingredients



    Strawberries, fresh, 4 cup, halves
    Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
    *Lemon Juice, 1 fl oz

Directions


Simmer strawberries and sugar for 1 - 2 hours, till thickened and dark red. Remove from heat and add lemon juice.
If strawberries were far from ripe, add 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar along with the lemon juice. The addition of the vinegar helps the fruit to taste sweeter.
