    8 oz. beef chuck roast
3 small or medium red potatoes, cubed

1/2 packet Lipton Recipe Secrets onion soup mix

Directions

Place cut potatoes & carrots in the bottom of a 1 1/2 or 2-quart Crock Pot. Place roast on top of veggies. Separate onion into rings and lay rings on top of roast, trying to cover as much surface area as possible.

I made this last night....I have tried lots of different ways, but this was by far the best flavor and most tender. I added 2 beef bouillon cubes and about a half of cup of water and poured over veggies before placing beef on top. Also chopped up some fresh garlic and laid it on top w/ onions. YUM - 5/14/09

I made this the other night and it turned out GREAT! I added celery, 2 beef bouillon cubes and some hot water to the veggies. I added fresh garlic on top of the roast and inside the roast. The chuck roast was a bit greasy so I would reccommend, next time, using a round roast. - 1/28/11

My husband loved it! 8 hours was just perfect, and I used a pot roast instead of chuck, because I could buy a small enough portion. - 6/29/08
