Ingredients

1 cup whole milk
2 cups heavy cream
3/4 cup granulated sugar
pinch of salt
1-1/2 cups frozen cherries (pitted)
5 oz semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1-1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Tips
Chocolate shavings could be substituted for morsels.
Directions
Place milk, cream, sugar, and salt in medium bowl and whisk until smooth and sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until chilled thoroughly (about 4 hours-overnight). When liquid is chilled pour into an ice cream maker and churn according to instructions. Add cherries and chocolate morsels during last 5 minutes of churning. Transfer ice cream into freezer safe container and freeze until solid. Scoop and enjoy.
