Ingredients
-
2 cups strawberries, quartered
1 cup raspberries
4 tbsp (1/4 cup) agave nectar
Juice from 1 lemon
Tips
I didn't add a thickener (some recipes showed to add 1 tbsp cornstarch and dissolve it in 1 tbsp of water and add it to the mix). If you want to try that out, please do (let me know how it turns out!). I like it the way it is. I put the mixture in a mason jar and let it cool. After it cooled, I put it in the refrigerator. It thickens up all on it's own and tastes wonderful on some toast.
Directions
1. Add your fresh strawberries and raspberries in a medium saucepan. Stir as they're heating up for about 5 minutes.
2. Add the juice from one lemon.
3. Keep stirring for another 5 minutes.
4. Add the agave.
5. Keep stirring for another 5 - 10 minutes until it has reached a thicker consistency. The strawberries and raspberries will all melt in to each other. If you like the jam chunky, you can leave it as is. If not, you can use your masher and mash it up.
