Ingredients

    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 1 cup dark brown sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
    • 1/4 tsp ginger
    • 1/8 tsp allspice
    • 1 cup milk
    • 3 Tbsp melted unsalted butter
    • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
    • 1 egg
    • 1 1/2 cup frozen blackberries, coarsely chopped
    • sugar (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 400.Combine flour through spices and mix well. Mix together milk, butter, vanilla and egg. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until moist. Gently fold in blackberries.
Pour batter into prepared muffin tin. Bake for 16 minutes.
Sprinkle muffins with sugar and cook an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
