1-1/2 packages (about 3-1/4 teaspoons) dry yeast
    1/4 cup warm water
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup Z-Trim Fat Replacer
    1/3 cup sugar
    1-1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup skim milk
    1 egg
    3 cups white flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    --
    filling:
    1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. splenda brown sugar blend
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tbsp. cinnamon
    --
    frosting:
    3/4 cup powdered sugar
    2 tbsp lowfat cream cheese
    1/4 cup Z-Trim Fat Replacement
    water as needed
    dash of dried orange zest

Directions

Put the warm water and the yeast in a small bowl or measuring cup and soak 10-15 minutes.

Heat milk in microwave for one minute; pour it over the butter and Z-Trim in a mixing bowl. Using mixer, add sugar and salt. Cool the mixture until it's room temperature. Add the dissolved yeast and beaten egg, and let sit for another 10-15 minutes. Stir, and then add both types of flour, one cup at a time. Up to 1 additional cup of flour may be needed. The dough should be soft yet firm enough to handle.

Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic. Avoid too much flour. Turn dough into a bowl sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray.well oiled bowl. Let rise for 1-1/2 hours.

Punch down dough and roll it into a rectangle, about 9x13. Cover with applesauce. Mix together brown sugar, splenda blend, white sugar and cinnamon (modify amounts to suit your taste) and sprinkle on the dough, covering the applesauce. Roll up jellyroll fashion.

Cut off slices about 1 to 1-1/2 inches thick. Place slices in an 8 or 9 inch round cake pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Place one slice in the middle and other slices around it. Press rolls down to even out and fill pan. Let rise until rolls fill the pan generously - about another hour.
This should make about 14-16 rolls, depending on how big your rectangle was.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven about 15 - 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
