Introduction

This smoothie recipe was inspired by DELIGHTED MAMA'S "Best Low Carb Green Smoothie," which can be found here:

It was described as tasting like "Lucky Charms," and while it was "good" (especially for a green smoothie), it wasn't exactly what I expected. So, I decided to revamp this recipe and NOW it really does taste like LUCKY CHARMS!! YUM!!

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 cups Spinach, fresh (63 g)
    1/2 Avocado
    40 g Strawberries, unsweetened frozen
    30 g Blueberries, unsweetened frozen
    30 g Raspberries, unsweetened frozen
    1 Tbsp Flaxseed Meal (toasted)
1 1/4 cups Almond Milk, unsweetened vanilla (10 oz)
1 Tbsp Sugar Free Syrup from my recipe:

    10 drops Vanilla Stevia, liquid

Tips

Torani SF Vanilla Syrup could be substitute for my SF Syrup, however, I have not tried this and cannot guarantee the same flavor. I use Bob's Red Mill Organic Golden Flaxseed Meal, but any flaxseed meal or even whole flax seeds would work fine. Just make sure you toast/roast them. I prefer Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk and use Sweetleaf Vanilla Creme Stevia. In order to make the processing go a bit more smoothly, I put my ingredients in the blender in the following order: Frozen Fruit, Flaxseed Meal, Avocado, Spinach, Almond Milk, Syrup, Stevia Drops. You can use other combinations of frozen fruit for a total of 100 g or about 3/4 cup.

Directions

Toast Flaxseed Meal in toaster oven or oven (350 degress for a couple minutes). I toast enough for a week worth of smoothies (7-8 Tbsp). Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. ENJOY Lucky Charm flavored, green, heaven in a cup goodness!!

Serving Size: Makes 1 - 16 oz serving.
