Ingredients

3/4 LB of Italian Sausage
3/4 LB ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
5 garlic cloves
2 (15 0z) cans tomato sauce
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 TBSP dried italian seasoning
1 (8-oz) package of manicotti shells
1 (8 oz) cream cheese with chives and onions
5 cups (20 oz) mozzarella cheese, divided
3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 (15 oz) ricotta cheese
4 garlic cloves
3/4 TSP pepper
Garnish: parsley, parmesan cheese
Directions
discard casing from sausage. Cook sausage, beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat. stir until sausage and beef crumble and are no longer pink. Drain.
Return meat to skillet, stir in tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, and italian seasioning. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally. 30 minutes.
While sauce simmers, cook pasta shells.
Stir together cream cheese, 4 cups mozzarella, and next 4 ingredients. Stuff evenly into shells. (You can pipe mixture into shells)
Spoon half sauce evenly into 2 greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Arrange stuffed shells over sauce, and top with remaining sauce.
Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Incover and sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella. Bake 10 more minutes until cheese melts. let stand 5 minutes before serving. Garnish if desired.
