Introduction

I started making these when I didn't want to add bread and egg as a binder. The Chia seeds soak up the moisture from the Turkey meat and bind it together without all the extra fat and calories. The Chia seeds soak up the moisture from the Turkey meat and bind it together without all the extra fat and calories. AND they're good for you.
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 lb. - Turkey, Ground
    2 Tbls - Chia Seeds
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    4 Tbls - Dried Onion
    Spice of choice (rosemary, basil, tarragon, etc)


Tips

Do not press the burger as it cooks, this will make for a dry burger. The chia seeds lock in the juices and make this a very juicy delicious burger. I could eat them every day.


Directions

Mix all ingredients in a bowl, allow to sit for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld. If your grilling this is a good time to prep your grill. Once that is done, portion out the meat and press into burger patties. place burger on grill or in grill pan, for about 4 minutes on each side or until the internal temp reaches 170-180.
