Introduction

Ingredients
-
1 onion, chopped
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 apple, grated (I left the peel on for the extra fiber)
1 egg or egg replacement
Tbsp Worcestershire sauce (soy sauce would work too)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Dried herbs: 1/2 tsp thyme, rosemary, sage, & Tbsp parsley
1/3 cup panko bread crumbs (can replace with oats or rice)
1 lb ground turkey (I used 94% lean)
Tips
-Bake at 375 for 30 minutes, flipping half way.
-Broil for 6-8 minutes per side.
-Some topping ideas: Cheddar, avocado, chopped olives, extra caramelized onions or grated apple, salsa, hummus and so much more (maybe not all at once though!)
Directions
-Add chopped onion to pan with oil. Heat over medium high for 5 minutes. Add the vinegar and stir. Cook another 15 minutes stirring a few times.
-Mix together all ingredients except turkey in a large bowl. Work in the turkey with your hands until thoroughly combined but don't over do it.
-Shape into 5 patties and grill 6 minutes per side or until internal temp reaches 165.
