Introduction

try to replace the Spouse's 1000 Island which he uses by the bottle. This is 58 calories for 2 Tbsp. Ingredients

    1 c lowfat buttermilk
1/2 cup mayo (I used regular)
    1/2 cup Pace Picante Sauce
3 Tbsp Dill Weed (I used dried)
    1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
    1 Tbsp Onion Powder
    Fresh ground Black Pepper

    Mix all ingredients and chill

All the spices can be adjusted to your taste, as can the Pace. You can also sub lowfat mayo although I wouldn't use fat free. I don't think it needs salt, but you can add it if you like.

Tips

I wouldn't make more than a week's worth at a time. I may try to thicken it a bit next time by heating the Pace and adding a bit of corn starch, letting it cook until thickened and then cooling before using.

Directions

No cooking. Just mix and chill.
