Introduction
I prefer whole foods to processed foods, but I wasn't losing weight. I had to cut my beloved Half & Half from my morning coffee, but instant creamer was just as bad. Skim milk alone was an assault upon my senses: not the best way to begin my day. Why not make two bads into a good? I prefer whole foods to processed foods, but I wasn't losing weight. Ingredients
-
1/3 cup of instant nonfat dry milk
3 Tablespoons of creamer (use your own flavor)
(2 Tablespoons of Splenda or other no cal sweetener to taste--optional)
Put all ingredients into a bowl. Mix together with a metal spoon until ingredients are of similar size, so that the nonfat milk dissolves well in your hot coffee.
Measure 1Tablespoon into hot coffee for coffee au lait and enjoy.
Tips
This is the recipe for one pot of coffee; you can do the math & make a larger amount to keep on hand. I make it while I wait for my coffee to perk, or make it the night before to have it ready if your pot is on auto drip.
Directions
No "cooking" is involved. This is a dry mix.
Stir well with a metal spoon until all ingredients are of similar size, so that the nonfat milk dissolves well in your hot coffee.
