French Bread Baguette [1 serving = 1/6 loaf = 2 oz.], Trader Joe's
Organic extra large brown egg, 1
Cinnamon, ground, .25 tbsp
Nutmeg, ground, 1 tsp
Motts Natural Apple Sauce, .8 cup (optional)
Vanilla Extract, 1 tbsp
Earth Balance Natural Buttery Spread, 1 tbsp
Tips
*Do not overheat pan
*These are mini french toast slices so they do not take long to cook, be careful not to burn them!
Directions
Slice 5 (.25 inch thick) pieces of French Bread & set aside.
Heat butter on low in frying pan or griddle.
Whisk egg, cinnamon, nutmeg and apple sauce in shallow bowl until well blended.
Dip bread slices in egg mixture to coat one by one, and place directly in pan.
Cook 3 to 4 minutes on medium heat and flip.
Press with spatula, and cook additional 3 to 4 min. Continue to flip until golden brown on each side.
