Ingredients
-
16 Chicken Legs
1 1/3 C Post Honeycomb Cereal (crushed)
1 1/4 C Kellogg's Rice Crispies Cereal (crushed)
1/2 C flour
2 Large Eggs (beaten)
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
Directions
Crush the Honeycomb and Rice Crispies and place in a gallon bag OR in a pie plate. Beat the 2 eggs in a pie plate. Place the 1/2 C Flour in a bag or pie plate add a teaspoon of garlic powder and a teaspoon of onion powder and some salt and pepper.
Roll each peice of chicken in the flour first - shake off any excess flour and then place each piece of chicken in the egg. After the egg - roll each piece of chicken in the cereal mixture. Place them on a large cookie sheet and bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Lower the heat to 375 and bake for another 40 minutes.
The chicken can be served with a variety of things.....or be eaten alone. I also love these as leftovers! They make a terrific chicken salad! Just remove the skin/breading and tear up the meat and add a little mayo/plain yogurt, onion, celery and some grapes and you have yourself a 2nd meal!! ENJOY!!
