Introduction

Simple and nutritious. Great any time of day and doubles as a refreshing dessert. Simple and nutritious. Great any time of day and doubles as a refreshing dessert.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    4 Gala apples
    2 cups frozen unsweetened strawberries
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tsp imitation vanilla extract

Food processor or blender (I like the food processor for this since I like a little texture, but this could also be done with a blender. It may require a small amount of water to get things blending, though.)

Tips

If we think we'll finish a batch the same evening I will keep leftovers in the freezer since I like to serve with the chill the frozen strawberries give. Keeps well in fridge for several days.

Directions

1. Slice apples to remove core/seeds (I leave the skins on)
2. Add apples, vanilla, sugar and roughly half the strawberries to food processor.
3. Pulse until strawberries begin to chop, moving to chop setting/speed.
4. Add remainder of strawberries and finish blending
5. Serve

Serving Size: Roughly 8 half cup servings
