Introduction

Ingredients

    *Indian Moong dal, 200 gram(s)
    Spinach, fresh, 4 cup
    *Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
    *asafoetida (hing), 0.25 tsp
    *Rasam (Indian soup) per Serving 1 tbsp (10) g mix, 1 serving

Tips

Gluten free, vegan, high protein side. Can be eaten with Quinoa, rice and or Roti.


Directions

Cook moong dal in water for about 15 minutes in a covered sauce pot. Then add chopped spinach and cool another 5 minutes. Then add the rasam powder to the mix. Season with mustard, cumin, hing in olive oil and add to the mix. If rasam powder is not available, replace it with a teaspoon of MTR garam masala. Optionally you can add one or two mashed tomatoes to add tang to this dish.

Serving Size: Makes 5 1-cup servings.
