Ingredients

    Pork: Bacon, broiled or pan fried (6 slices),
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia ) Diced
    Potato, raw, 2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia) Cubed
    Water, tap, 3 cup (8 fl oz) to cover potatoes
    Atlantic Pollock (fish), 3 fillets, Fresh
    Corn, sweet yellow, canned, cream style, 2 cans
    Salt and Pepper to taste.

Tips

We like break up corn bread into our bowls and then ladle the soup. This is a mild fish chowder. We love it. If you like chowder and can't have cream this is the answer!


Directions

In a dutch oven cook bacon crispy, remove and drain most of bacon grease. Add chopped onions and cubed potatoes, cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Add water to cover potato mixture. Cook for approx 20-30 minutes until potatoes are almost soft. Place pollock on top of potatoes - then add cream corn on top of fish. Cook for 10 -15 minutes, until fish is done. Stir. Add crumbed bacon, salt and pepper to taste.
