Ingredients

    Flour, Sugar, Cocoa, Egss, baking soda, baking powder, salt, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract

Directions

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup boiling water
Preparation:

Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.

Remove mixer; stir in boiling water by hand.

Pour the thin batter into a greased and floured baking pan

Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes

A wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center should come out clean.

Cool for 10 minutes in pan on rack then remove from pan and cool completely.

    Turned out way too runny. Even double the baking time had not resulted in a clean tooth pick. So got a bit Burnet. - 8/23/16
