Ingredients

    ½ cup coarsely chopped pecans
    1 T. butter
    1 T. sugar

    1 bag Italian Salad Mix (I use a head of romaine instead)
    2 sweet/tart apples (I use Fuji or Honeycrisp) sliced and cut into bite sized pieces
    ¼ c. crumbled feta cheese

    Dressing
    ¼ c. neutral oil (canola or light olive)
    2 T. apple cider vinegar
    2 T. sugar
    ¼ t. garlic powder
    ¼ t. pepper
    ¼ t. salt

Directions

For Dressing: whisk together or shake in a jar with a tight fitting lid.

Sautee the pecans, butter and sugar over medium heat until the sugar takes on a caramel color. Pour onto a piece of aluminum foil and cool. Toss the rest of the ingredients together with the salad dressing.
