Ingredients

    Ingredients:
    1 can (2 cups) Black Beans - well rinsed
    1 10 oz. bag Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
    1/2 cup Unsweetened applesauce
    1 Tbsp. Bob's Red Mill Whole Around Flaxseed Meal
    3 Tbsp. Water
    1 Tbsp. Cacao Powder or Cocoa Powder
    1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
    1 Tbsp. Real Maple Syrup

Tips

* Original Recipe said to bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. In my oven it took 60 minutes.
** If you use a blender or VitaMix, you will need to use the tamper to keep pushing the ingredients down to the blades as the mixture is very thick at first.


Directions

Turn on ove to 350 degrees. Line 8x8 inch square pan with parchment paper, making sure you have excess paper to grab onto when baking is done.

Put Flaxseed Meal into cup with water and let sit.

Place Beans and Chocolate Chips into food processor or blender (I used a VitaMix**) and blend until beans are broken up. Add remaining ingredients and blend until you have a smooth consistency. Pour into parchment paper lined pan. Bake for 30-35* minutes (my oven took 60 minutes, so check and remove from oven when a toothpick or knife is inserted and comes out clean). Let cool and cut into squares.

Serving Size: Makes 16 1 1/2 inch squares
