Introduction

Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    8 oz. pkg. Lasagna Noodles
    2 Tbs. & 1tsp. Olive Oil (Optional)
    2/3 c chopped onion
    1-lb ground turkey Breakfast Sausage, (you can
    add 2 tsp-1 Tbs of Italian meat seasoning to ground turkey. Let stand overnight)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8th tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. crushed sweet basil
    1/2-1 tsp. crushed oregano
    3-4 drops hot sauce
    1-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 can Italian tomato sauce
    1/2 c chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c parm cheese
    2 c Whole tomatoes (blend for just a few minutes)
    3/4 c. non-fat cottage cheese
    10-1/2 slices Lite Monterey Jack cheese
    14 Ripe Olives (Optional) If use have to count extra
    Mushrooms to your taste

Tips

This tastes so wonderful. I would count it 10-12 Points. It is a generous serving and very good.


Directions

Cook noodles as directed on pkg. rinse thoroughly. Sauté onions & green peppers and meat until onions and green pepper are tender. Add salt, pepper, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, brown slightly. Add tomato sauce, 1/8th tsp. Parm cheese, oregano, sweet basil, 1 tsp. garlic powder and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 20 mins. or a little longer. Place 1/3 cooked noodles in bottom of sprayed cake pan. Cover with 1/2 sauce, over sauce place cottage cheese spread evenly, mushrooms and lay on cheese slices. Over cheese slices the rest of noodles, top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with rest of Parm. cheese and Bake. YUMMY! This recipe was old Weight Watchers, counted: 4 Protein, 1 fat, 1 Bread, 10 cals.
