Ingredients

    0.20 tsp Cumin seed
    0.20 tsp Turmeric, ground
    0.30 tbsp Olive Oil
    0.20 clove Garlic
    0.20 tsp Ginger Root
    300 Spinach, frozen
    3 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    0.10 tsp Granulated Sugar
    0.20 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    0.20 tsp Cumin (ground)
    0.02 gram(s) Green chilly / Mirchi
    0.10 tbsp Coriander Seed, Ground (1 Tbsp)
    0.05 tbsp Mustard Seed
    0.03 cup Coriander Leaves, Fresh
    0.10 tsp mustard seed
    1 tsp Asafetida 1 pinch
    1 cup moong dal

Tips

If moong daal is soaked it takes less time to cook.


Directions

Soak Moong Daal for 2 to 3 hrs. (optional) can be cooked without soaking. Cook frozen spinach in a pot in microwave for 5 to 6 min. add litle salt and turmeric. In a pot add Olive Oil when hot add mustard/cumin seeds add pinch of asoefoitida/garlic/ginger/green chilli crushed and then add moong daal without water stir for a min. and add 3 cups of boiling water. After 5 to 7 min. add cooked spinach add ground turmeric/cumin/coriander seeds and sugar. Add salt to taste.
