Ingredients

500 gms Minced lamb meat
4 tbsp oil
3 large tomatoes
2 medium onions + 1 medium onion finely chopped and fried
1 inch ginger
8 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp coriander crushed + 1 tbsp coriander for decoration
Roast the following into masala
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
3-4 black pepper corns
2 tspn sesame seeds
2 cloves
1 inch cinnamon
3 tbsp dessicated coconut
2 tspn chilli powder
2 tspn turmeric powder
salt as per taste
Directions
- Mix the mince meat with the fried onions, salt, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric and 4 crushed garlics in a bowl
- Make 32 small meat balls
- In a processor/ mixer add the tomatoes, 2 onions, ginger, garlic, 3 tbsp coriander and the roasted masala
- In a deep bottomed pan heat 4 tbsp oil and add the above. Close the lid and let it cook for 20 mins. Add the meat balls and let it all further cook for 25 mins until the meat balls are chewy and juicy.
- Decorate with the chopped coriander and serve hot with basmati rice/ nan bread/ roti
