Ingredients

    3 lbs lamb
    2 1/2 cups chopped onion
    salt, pepper to taste
    4 cups beef broth or water
    1 quart yogurt
    1 egg
    1/2 cup water

Tips

To put together. Place peda bread in bowl, ladle on yogurt sauce and then meat mixture.


Directions

Saute lamb in a little fat, then add 1/2 cup water. Cook over low heat until water evaporates (approx 1 hour) Add onions and broth-enough liquid to almost cover meat mixture. Simmer until onions are cooked. Keep warm until yogurt sauce is warm
Yogurt Sauce-Mix yogurt, egg and water in a saucepan and beat for 2-3 minutes, bring to a slow boil stirring constantly. Remove from heat
