Ingredients

    1 cup whole grain quinoa
    1 cup spelt flakes
    1 cup whole grain, old-fashioned oats
    4 Tbsp yellow corn meal (whole grain)
    2 Tbsp flax seed meal
    1 cup non-sweetened applesauce
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1 Tbsp cinnamon
    6 cups water (more if needed)

Directions

Combine quinoa and 5 cups water. Boil about 8 minutes until starting to turn translucent on the edges. Combine flax seed and corn meal with one cup cold water and let soak. Add all other grains, including cornmeal mixture, to pot and boil another three minutes. If mixture becomes too thick, add more water. Remove from heat. Add apple sauce and cinnamon. Stir, and serve!

Serving Size: Makes 8 Generous Servings right at 200 calories each
