Introduction
Milk and Honey. This walnut bread is filling, fragrant and has a fine crumb. This is not a low calorie item but a little bit goes a long way. Milk and Honey. Ingredients

1 cup Milk
I cup Honey
1/2 cup Soft Butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp baking powder
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Tips
Like most Tassajara recipes this one is ripe for personalization. Feel free to change mix ins, reduce the walnuts and add cranberries instead-whatever your heart desires. Whatever you decide to fold in just avoid adding more that a cups worth all together.
Directions
Combine and Milk and honey, stir over low heat until blended. Remove from heat and beat in the butter, eggs, flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix until well blended. Fold in the nuts.
Place in greased loaf pan and bake for 1 hr at 325 degrees, or until a tooth pick comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes in the pan before removing. Let cool longer before slicing.
