Ingredients

    8oz ground Beef 85/15 Aldi's
    1 egg large
    1/2C Oats (old fashioned)
    2Tblsp Milk 1%
    1/4tsp salt
    1/4tsp Pepper black
    1/8tsp Turmeric
    1Tblsp Basil dried
    1Tblsp Oregano dried
    1/2C Onions (any variety)
    1Tblsp Garlic (fresh)


Tips

This recipe allows 5 Meatballs each for a serving of spaghetti and meatballs for 2 people. The additional 6 meatballs can be reserved to make 2 Meatball sandwiches for another meal. Also half the onions can be replaced with 2oz green Bell peppers.


Directions

Combine egg, milk, salt, pepper, turmeric, Basil, Oregano and milk. beat lightly. Fold in onions, garlic and oats. Finally add the meat and mix by hand. After it is well mixed roll into 1 ounce balls, making about 16. Heat small amount of oil in a skillet and brown the balls on all sides for about 5 Minutes. Add about 2 Tablespoons of Marinara sauce and 3 ounces of water, cover and cook an additional 15 minutes on low heat.
