Introduction
This is not a "diet" food, but I was taking it to a dinner we were invited to, so I wanted to be prepared. This is easy to make and very tasty. Ingredients
-
1 pie crust
1 stick of butter
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Whipping cream/Cool Whip/Redi Whip
Tips
I learned the hard way that Redi Whip does not stay nice if you put it on the pie very long before serving. This recipe is calculated with a Pillsbury Pie Crust and 1 cup Heavy Whipping cream, but other options would help some with the calories.
Directions
Prepare the crust as directed.
Melt the butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe mixing bowl (I use a glass bowl). Let cool. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla and mix with a mixer. Add the eggs one at a time mixing 3 minutes after each egg is added. Pour into the crust and chill. Top with whipping cream.
