Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    Wet Mix:
    =======
    0.25 cup butter
    0.25 cup silvan (date honey), honey or golden syrup
    0.25 cup granulated (raw) sugar
    2 eggs
    1 cup milk (nutritional value attached based on low fat)

    Dry Mix:
    =======
    1.5 cups flaky bran (crude wheat bran)
    1 cup self raising flour
    1.5 tsps mixed spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom)

Tips

For our healthier version we prefer date honey or honey, butter, granulated sugar and low fat milk.
If you'd like to make it cholesterol free, you can use the egg whites only, and you can make it lactose free by replacing the butter with canola or rice bran oil.

Directions

Preheat oven and grease muffin pans. Melt together the butter and silan (date honey). Beat in the eggs, sugar and milk. Combine the dry mix ingredients and fold into the wet mix. Place in the muffin pans and bake.
